Dakota Lippon, LCSW

Dakota is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 10 years of experience working with children and adolescents. She graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from West Texas A&M University and a Master of Science in Social Work from West Texas A&M University. Working in the public school system for the past 9 years, Dakota has helped students and their families with a variety of issues that can impact behavior, social, and academic growth.

As an LCSW, Dakota's therapeutic practice serves children as young as 4 years old to adolescents, as well as young adult individuals. She has treated issues such as anxiety, grief, secondary trauma, relationship issues, grief, depression, and many other "speed bumps" that people experience through life. Treatment modalities include; Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy techniques (currently supervised by Ashley Wade, LPC-S, RPT-S), person-centered, and strengths based perspective. Dakota's clinical experience includes psychiatric in-patient hospitalization, higher education settings in the West Texas area, families who have been impacted by addiction, and public education.

Dakota is originally from the West Texas area and has called Amarillo her home since 2013. In her spare time, Dakota enjoys spending time reading, volunteering with local non-profit organizations, and being with her husband and their two dogs!

Destiny was born and raised in Amarillo and graduated with an Associates in Social Work, a Bachelor's in Psychology, and a Master's in Counseling. She has worked with children with Autism, and worked as a forensic interviewer at the Bridge Children's Advocacy Center. She also has worked as a Local Outreach to Survivors of Suicide (LOSS) Coordinator for a suicicide response team. Destiny is supervised by Ashley Wade and has an interest in play therapy. It has been on her heart to be a child therapist since she was thirteen years old. She believes that children deserve to be safe and heard and feels that it would be a privilege for her to be that for them. Her approach is trauma informed and person-centered and has a background in trauma, grief, anxiety, and depression. She has training in Mental Health First Aid, trauma focused behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis, cognitive behavioral therapy, and intro to plat therapy. 

Destiny enjoys spending time with her two amazing children and awesome husband and loves going camping and fishing.
